Eligibility & Admission Procedure for B. Pharm Programme (4 Years)

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
B. Pharm : Through SEE-UPTU (* No. of seat including 15% Mgmt/NRI)

ELIGIBILITY:
For admission to B. Pharm course the candidates must pass intermediate examination or equivalent (10+2) from any recognized Board/University with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as compulsory subjects.

Preference will be given as per the following criteria-

(1) Candidate who have appeared & qualifying UPSEE.

(2) Candidate who have passed 10+2 Exam. with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as compulsory subjects and marks more then 60%(Mgmt/NRI).Eligibility & Admission Procedure for B. Pharma Programme (2nd Year)

SEE Rank / Diploma with minimum with minimum 60% marks.

Introduction

The Department founded in 2007, the Department of Pharmacy at IVS Group has cultivated a reputation for quality and innovative scholarship in professional education and pharmaceutical sciences. It is offering Bachelor in Pharmacy from UP Technical University.

Duration : Four Years

The Department of Pharmacy has played major roles in the transformation of pharmacy from a professional practice orientation to one that includes major basic and clinical research activities. The mission of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is to educate students in pharmacy practice and the pharmaceutical sciences and to provide services to the community at large based upon this knowledge. The mission recognizes pharmaceutical care as a mode of pharmacy practice within the health care team in which the patient is empowered to achieve the desired outcomes of drug and related therapy. The mission also recognizes that research in the broad area of the clinical and basic pharmaceutical sciences is necessary to create and maintain a body of knowledge needed for professional education, health care delivery and the advancement of science.

Department organizes seminar, workshops and guest lectures from experts in the field of Pharmacy to enhance the knowledge and skills of the students and faculty members The objectives of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and of its components are defined as follows:

  • To promote those standards of education that will prepare students to enter the profession of pharmacy with an appropriate background of scientific, professional and clinical knowledge and practice skills, and that will prepare them for professional practice and life-long learning.

  • To encourage in all students those ethics, professional attitudes and ideals that are most appropriate for the exercise of professional duties and responsibilities.

  • To promote and maintain in students and faculty the processes of problem solving, creativity, imagination and continued development that constitutes the hallmarks of professional stature.

  • To contribute to the body of knowledge of pharmacy practice, patient care, clinical science and pharmaceutical sciences through scholarship in the professional and scientific disciplines and to provide scholars and practitioners in these disciplines.

In the Bachelor of Pharmacy course the college imparts effective practical training To students are also given on-the-job-training. For this purpose the college has the following laboratories for the students:

  • Remedial Bio., Human Anatomy, Physiology & Hygiene Lab.

  • Instrument Lab.

  • Pharamacognosy Lab.

  • Microbiology Lab.

  • Pharmaceutical Engineering Lab.

Computer Lab

4 serves, 100+ desktops with high-speed networks, 2 MBPS leased OFC line.

Library

The library has more than 1000+ books, several journals, along with audio and video cassettes. The staff is qualified and trained to provide an efficient service to the students and the faculty. Addition to books and periodicals is continuously made to ensure that there is a wide selection of reference material and textbooks to meet the needs of the students.

Hostel

1 senior hostel for boys (capacity 61 students), 1 girls hostel (capacity 50 students) with facilities, common rooms, STD/PCO and other recreational facilities.

Other Facilities

Transport facilities, medical unit/dispensary, faculty flats, guest house, water treatment plant, stationary shops, canteens and adequate facilities for sport s and games.

Seminar Hall

The Department has a fully equipped Seminar Hall with seating capacity of 120 to conduct the workshops, guest lectures and seminars.

Class Rooms

Each class room has been provided with OHP / LCD projectors to support the e-learning classes.
