Introduction

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established with the mission to educate students from all over India and other countries, including those from rural areas, so that they become enlightened individuals, improving the living standards of their Families, Industry and Society.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established with the vision of developing the department as a Centre of Excellence in R&D, in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering and make the students blossom into meritorious and self-disciplined engineers by hard work.

Introduction

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of IVSIT is set in lush greenery. Drawing upon IVS Group's tradition of teaching excellence, the Department of EEE with skilled faculty and over 200 students works closely together in an open, collegial atmosphere. In the Department of Information Technology our Mission is to provide quality education to the students and impart IT excellence in them. The Department of Pharmacy has played major roles in the transformation of pharmacy from a professional practice orientation to one that includes major basic and clinical research activities. The mission of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is to educate students in pharmacy practice and the pharmaceutical sciences and to provide services to the community at large based upon this knowledge. The mission recognizes pharmaceutical care as a mode of pharmacy practice within the health care team in which the patient is empowered to achieve the desired outcomes of drug and related therapy. The mission also recognizes that research in the broad area of the clinical and basic pharmaceutical sciences is necessary to create and maintain a body of knowledge needed for professional education, health care delivery and the advancement of science.

Department organizes seminar, workshops and guest lectures from experts in the field of Pharmacy to enhance the knowledge and skills of the students and faculty members The objectives of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and of its components are defined as follows:

  • To promote those standards of education that will prepare students to enter the profession of pharmacy with an appropriate background of scientific, professional and clinical knowledge and practice skills, and that will prepare them for professional practice and life-long learning.

  • To encourage in all students those ethics, professional attitudes and ideals that are most appropriate for the exercise of professional duties and responsibilities.

The unique feature of IVS Group is the scholarships awarded to students. IVS Group offers attractive student scholarships to encourage merit and to make education accessible to students of all economic strata. The Group has initiated a thriving tradition of over 100 scholarships offered every year to meritorious and deserving students.

Merit Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded to meritorious students, based on the academic performance at the qualifying examinations for fresher, and in the case of senior students, the performance during the previous year. The scholarship offers a waiver of tuition fees, free hostel stay and boarding/grant towards living expenses and an allowance for books. All the Engineering, MBA and Pharmacy programs at the Institution are covered under the Scholarship program.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
Every academic year, several scholarships are awarded on the criteria of merit-cum-means. The scholarship offers a waiver of tuition fees, free hostel stay and boarding/grant towards living expenses and an allowance for books. Academic performance and demonstrated economic need are the key criteria for this scholarship.

Sports Scholarship
Sports scholarships are awarded to students with an outstanding record in sports. Typically, students who have represented the State at National level competitions conducted by accredited Sports Boards are eligible.
